Hi,
the SEO for images is very important for Google image search.
Therefore I am very surprised that the product images are not within the
domain of the shop, but are called via cdn.shopify.com, even more with cryptic file names.
Example:
Ideally, an image URL should be a combination of the shop’s own domain and a meaningful file name.
Preferably without a different subdomain:
https://www.mydomain.com/brandname-productname-colorname-1.jpg
or
https://www.mydomain.com/images/brandname-productname-colorname-1.jpg
Or if necessary with subdomain:
https://cdn.mydomain.com/brandname-productname-colorname-1.jpg
or
https://cdn.mydomain.com/images/brandname-productname-colorname-1.jpg
Can this be realized with Shopify?
Am i the only one who is bothered by this?
