Is it better to have long-tail specific keywords or shorter phrases to attract more viewers?
How is SEO for Shopify different from other Web site platforms? Different from Etsy or Pinterest?
Thank you.

One is not better than the other, but one might be more appropriate for what you’re selling than the other. To check, Google the keywords your customers might use to describe your product(s) and see what ranks. If your page content would align with what’s currently ranking, then that’s probably an appropriate keyword. If not, it might not be a good fit.
For example, you probably will not rank for [art] or [buy art online] because they’re so competitive, but you might rank for certain types of art or other defining characteristics of your artwork. Those would probably be the keywords you’d want to target and build pages for.
Shopify and marketplaces like Etsy/Pinterest handle SEO differently. On Etsy or Pinterest, you’re getting instant visibility because you’re part of their established platform - like having a shop in a busy mall. With Shopify, you’re building your own independent store (although this is starting to change as Shop becomes a more popular shopping destination!), which means more work upfront but also more control. Shopify makes the technical stuff easy with built-in SEO tools, and you get to control everything about how your store appears in Google searches. While it takes more time to build traffic than on marketplaces, you’re building something that truly belongs to you.
Ok, that is the usual stuff from years of building my site. So… I have done plenty of nude figure studies and paintings.. .a thing normal for classically trained painters and sculptors. Now, in the new conservative climate, my site is getting products rejected by Facebook, META suites or whatever, and perhaps even Google??? for having nude artwork.
They are not sexual or tasteless.
My question is : are there keywords to avoid in my SEO and descriptions, ALT tags, etc, that will keep my site from being banned while still accurately describing my work and not giving a shock to some visitor who does not appreciate Greek art? hahah.. you know what I mean. Thank you.
