Looking a selling an item that goes on sale at a fixed time and limiting the # of items sold per customer. The time is no problem, not sure how to limit sales. Thanks
I’ve used Order Limits - MinMaxify app to limit products to one per customer on limited releases.
Not sure about timing reset and if that’s something in there / what it defaults to otherwise, but it does have a 14 day free trial and the answer may lie in its Reviews if you take a look.
I saw your question about daily flash sale limits. In DC Order Limits, you can set a per customer purchase cap and reset the tracking on a daily schedule.
Setup:

Create a customer purchase limit rule

Set the max quantity per customer
-
Use Shopify Flow to reset the tracked purchase history each day

The cap is checked across the customer’s orders for that day

You can limit sales per customer by using Shopify Plus Scripts or apps like Order Limits – MinMaxify. Set a maximum quantity per product so each customer can only purchase the allowed number. Combine this with your scheduled product release to enforce limits during the sale.
