Shipping condition

I need help with my shipping profiles. What Shopify is charging my customers does not match what Printify is charging me. I was told by Printify to select ‘automatically apply shipping rates’ to my products, which I’ve done but it has made no difference.

Also, I have one product from Gelato and have created shipping zones and prices with stepped conditional shipping charges for when multiples of that item are ordered. What is happening now is that when my customers are coming to my shop and buying this item from Gelato alongside other items from Printify, the shipping for that entire order price is being applied to my Gelato item in that order, and my customers are being charged more than they should for the shipping.

I’ve been advised to create a custom shipping profile for that order, which I’ve done, but it has not worked.

I’ve been going around in circles with Shopify and Printify to solve these issues. Now I’m ready to look for external help. If you are an expert on these things and can help me. Can you post below and let me know how much you will charge. Thanks. Also, my main concern about this is confidentiality. I don’t like the idea of a complete stranger in the back end of my site seeing all my financial information. How do people protect themselves when they have someone else coming in and solving a problem for them?

Thanks so much in advance!

Hey @Timadewale,

Got it You’re running into a common headache with mixed shipping profiles in Shopify when you combine Printify (automatic rates) with Gelato (manual stepped rates). Let me break this down for you and also answer your concern about confidentiality:

Possible Fixes

  1. Separate Profiles (must be done carefully)
    • Put all Gelato items in one shipping profile with their stepped rules.

    • Put all Printify items in another shipping profile that uses Printify’s automatic rates.

    • Shopify should then calculate rates from each profile separately and add them at checkout.

  2. Rate Adjustments with Apps
Sometimes Shopify doesn’t handle mixed provider setups well. In that case, you can use apps like:
    • Better Shipping

    • Advanced Shipping Rules
These allow you to assign shipping rules per product or vendor and give much finer control.

  3. Test in Checkout
Use test orders (with Shopify Bogus Gateway or 100% discount codes) to simulate combinations. That way, you’ll see exactly what customers get charged.

By following one the above instruction you can able to fix the issue with your Shipping profiles.

Thanks

Is this what you can help me with?
