My issue is with understanding the shipping process. I was my first customer in my drop shipping business. I ordered the product and received payment but never received the product. Is there another step I need to take before I am able to have an item shipped?
Topic summary
A new dropshipper placed a test order as their own first customer, received payment, but the product was never delivered. They’re unsure if additional steps are required in the shipping workflow.
Key clarification provided:
- After receiving a store order, the dropshipper must manually place that order with their supplier to trigger fulfillment
- Important follow-up steps include:
- Confirming the supplier received the order
- Tracking shipment status
- Contacting the supplier directly if issues occur
Recommended action: If the current supplier remains unresponsive or cannot resolve delivery problems, consider switching to a more reliable supplier to maintain service quality.
Hi @feliciaarnold78 ,
When you receive a new order in your store, you then place the order with your supplier to initiate the shipping process. Confirm that the supplier has received the order and follow up on the shipment status. If any issues arise, contact the supplier directly for more information. Should the supplier be unresponsive or unable to resolve the issue, consider finding a new supplier to ensure reliable service for your customers.
