I’m having the same problem. I have three order from this weekend that are international first class package and no ability to purchase that label.
Below is what Shopify Support is telling me, which is wrong because I successful purchased a First Class International Package label on July 17th with no issues.
" I am not seeing anything specific at this time regarding the First Class Package International other than it was no longer available as of January 21 2018
I apologize, it is the First Class mail international is no longer an option. I am going to follow up with our shipping team and see what they have to say. I will send you an email with the information that they share with me."
Thank you. I too was able to print First Class International Package labels several times this month and one was on July 22, 2022 to the Netherlands.
I have opened a ticket and will let you know what I find out too.
Hey, @Jewele
Have you tried changing the package at the label purchasing page to see if the rate shows up? Example:
The rate not showing can often be due to the package dimensions not being eligible for that service. USPS has the following requirements for this service:
Order must weight 4lb or less
Package value must be under $400
Maximum combined length, height, and width is 36 inches (42 inches for rolls/tubes)
Maximum length is 24"
Maximum height is 4" (NOTE: this means the package cannot be an envelope, it must be a soft pack or box to meet the minimum height requirement)
Some countries have specific prohibitions and restrictions. More info here
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
Hi Dirk,
Yes I have checked all that and verified all of those things and I still am unable to choose the service.
I just shipped using the same service to Canada earlier this month.
Package value is $67.59.
Box size 8.75" x 6.75" x 3" and total weight is 1.3625 pounds
3" is not allowed. The minimum requirement for height is 4".
See usps shipping requirement for more detail. There is also detailed requirement for each country.

It is likely that USPS updated their api to include these rules.
Dimensions were always written L x W x H but now it seems the USPS has eliminated width and replaced it with height and now has depth as the last dimension. So my Length is 8.25" and height is 6.75" and depth is 3"

Packages (small packets) other than rolls must be within the following dimensions:
My solution was to use PayPal Shipstation - stamps endicia and all went smoothly and the package is on its way to my customer.
Glad to hear that you got it sorted out, @Jewele
