Shop cart is showing a cheaper price than product

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner reports a pricing discrepancy issue with their CAD-based shop. During checkout, the price then changes to $6.00 USD, which appears to be the correct converted amount.

The store owner is seeking an explanation for why prices would fluctuate this way, as they cannot identify the cause of this behavior.

Current Status:

  • Another user has asked for clarification about the store’s currency settings
  • The store owner confirmed their currency is set to CAD (Canada)
  • The issue remains unresolved and under investigation

Hi all,

My shop is in CAD. The product is $7.99cad. For some reason it is showing as $4.42usd in the customers shopping cart, which is too low even with the converstion. When the customer is checking out the prices changes to $6.00usd (which is probably the correct price). I can’t find an explanation as to why this would happen.

Does anyone know why the prices would change like this?

Thank you.

Hi @Gabe16
