Shopify AI

Can Shopify AI provide a complete overview of all available features, or should I rely on the documentation?

Just ask it what u want. Even if works very good even if your question is in layman terms. It is very good

Yes! Shopify Sidekick can provide a complete overview of all native Shopify features. Things like products, orders, discounts, shipping, analytics, and built-in Shopify apps are all fully supported, so Sidekick can answer questions, guide you through workflows, and take actions directly.

For third-party apps, it depends on whether the app has integrated with Sidekick. Some apps have built that connection.

For example, our BOGOS: Free Gift & Bundle Upsell app is integrated with Sidekick, so you can search your offers, check performance stats, find eligible products, and navigate directly to any offer’s edit page - all without leaving Sidekick.

However, many apps haven’t built this integration yet, so Sidekick will only be able to give you general guidance for those rather than app-specific actions or data.

For anything not covered by Sidekick, the app’s own documentation is your best bet for detailed, accurate instructions.

Hope it helps!

Hi @nonoanon,

Shopify’s AI technologies, such as Sidekick and Shopify Magic, are excellent for creating product descriptions, providing prompt answers to specific queries, and supporting daily business operations.

However, it is still recommended to rely on the official Shopify manual for a comprehensive, organized overview of all accessible platform features, complex setups, or technological constraints. While the AI can provide you with brief summaries, the documentation offers the most current and thorough information.

Thanks!

Hi there @nonoanon
Sidekick is good for questions about features and to help you through common tasks, but it’s not necessarily going to have every feature or recent update listed in detail. For the most compelete and up-to-date view of everything, the Shopify Help Center and developer documentation remain your best bet. It’s usually best to think of Sidekick as a quick source of advice, and the documented the definitive source for details, examples, and the limitations of features.

Can Shopify AI provide a complete

NO, AI is for drafts summarization etc that THEN is 100% incumbent upon you to put in the actual effort and verify what such tools randomly generate. No one is liable, accountable or responsible for gap in your knowledge except you.

Don’t set yourself up for a mentaility where something else fakes the “thinking” for you out of some zero effort in infinite riches out.

Just sit down and read the friendly manual for the software your entire business relies on or your gonna have a bad time.
