Shopify Audiences for Google and Meta Ads

Shopify announced the new integration with Google Ads this week for the Shopify Audiences solution. This means that you can now leverage store-level audiences in ads across Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and the Google Display Network, assuming you’re on Shopify Plus.

This potentially saves a lot of effort and the need for third-party apps to create and export audiences. You can generate multiple, objective-based audiences using your store’s specific customer data and export them to your Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts. From there you can build out lookalike audiences for prospecting.

I’m curious about other merchants’ experience with Shopify Audiences so far. Are you using them yet?

I think they can be effective. It’s another tool in your box to use.

How to use them is similar to other audience strategies. For Google, similar audiences are going away.
