Hi,
I finished developing a site for my client on Shopify Partner. I did transfer it to the client.
He accepted the invitation and tried to activate a plan.
When he looks at the plan on Shopify, it says Basic plan is $29/month, then when he goes to the checkout on Shopify to activate the plan, it turns to $39/month.
He did not add anything else, it is just basic plan.
I was wondering why the Basic plan rate is changing when it reaches the check out.
We are in the United Kingdom. When we go directly to Shopify website, it shows £19/month for Basic Plan.
We prefer to get the rate in GBP (£19/month).
Is it possible for my client to see the price in GBP (£19/month) for the basic plan when he goes through the invitation link I sent from my partner site?
Thanks
The price discrepancy may be due to regional pricing or currency conversion. To resolve this, your client should contact Shopify support directly. They can ensure the pricing reflects the UK rates and assist in applying the correct plan cost in GBP (£19/month).

Hi,
I recently encountered a similar issue with a client. After transferring the store via the Shopify Partner program, the plan pricing shown during checkout differed from the initial pricing displayed. In your case, the Shopify Basic plan changes from $29 to $39 during checkout, which could be due to tax or regional pricing adjustments.
Since you’re based in the UK and would prefer the GBP pricing (£19/month), make sure the account’s billing currency is set to GBP. The pricing may default to USD if this setting is incorrect. Also, regional taxes or currency conversion fees can sometimes cause price differences during checkout.
It might help to reach out to Shopify Support to confirm that the client’s account is being billed in GBP and to clarify any additional charges that might be applied.
