I’m using Shopify Bundles app to bundle products. The line item properties set for the bundle product are not passed down to the individual products in order line item properties. The bundle product does not exist in order line items. This is fine, but I’d like to pass the line item properties set for the bundle product down to each individual product included in the bundle and in the order line items.
I’m having the same issue. What is the equivalent way for the line item properties on the bundle SKU? What is the best way to retain them? Currently, I can only think of cart/order attributes
Experiencing the same issue here. Our app sends the rate to checkout by attaching a line item. With bundles created by Shopify’s Bundles app, the line item fails to get attached.
@Shopify_77 , would be great if your team could look into this
Hey Guys, I have logged this with Shopify support ticket number 4180393.
The last update from 11/11/23 reads:
Apologies for the longer than expected reply. I wanted to provide a quick update now that there’s a confirmed working fix in the process of being pushed out to all affected stores. An unexpected delay with its deployment came up, but nothing that should cause too much trouble. Thanks for waiting this out and I hope to have more news ASAP.
I reached out as well and got a response today on ticket #43434590. Their response didn’t sound as promising as yours though:
As it turns out, Shopify Bundles isn’t currently available to support modifying properties and in turn doesn’t support working with third party apps like yours, Zapiet Ltd. Hopefully that becomes available to us soon! Something that’s set to be released in the coming months is the Cart Transform API, which will allow you to be able to make the changes needed to work with the Shopify Bundles app. For more information be sure to check out Cart Transform Function API overview and Bundles
I work on the FFS Beauty Shopify Store and I am also encountering this bundle properties issue. I am trying to implement Shopify Bundles to track the stock of bundle components more accurately. It seems that Shopify Bundles is the only solution to this problem. But we heavily rely on the use of line-item properties on our bundles to pass custom text for Engraving to be applied. So I cannot use Shopify Bundles.
@Shopify_77 When can we expect this issue to be resolved?
Its a bit frustrating as they seem to have still not fixed this. The latest update on my ticket from November 2023:
"Kaalo here with Shopify Technical Merchant Support!
At this time there are no updates on the fix for the bundle line item attribute issue just yet. Our developers are continuing to work on this further, however we are unable to provide any estimated timeframes for when this issue will be resolved, due to the complex technical nature of the work required to resolve issues such as these, and needing to be conscious and careful regarding the various parts of the platform any fixes to this issue can affect.
That said, we can assure you our developers are continuing to work on this as quickly as possible, and we will be sure to keep you updated as soon as we have any further information to share, or when the issue has been resolved!"
Hi @Ben_Porter , I’m making my own case to fix this bug and referring your ticket number. They’re saying it should be 8 digits but you’ve only provided 4180393. Would be awesome if you could send me the correct one to back me up.
I also contacted Shopify Support and - in support of my query - I referenced the ticket numbers #43434590 and #4180393 mentioned by others in this thread. I got the following response:
" Thank you for providing the new example order. After further investigation, it appears that our developers are already aware of this issue and have an ongoing project to address it. However, the resolution of this issue is dependent on other changes that need to be completed first.
At this time, our developers are unable to provide an estimated timeline for when this will be resolved.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best Regards,
"
It looks like a fix will eventually be implemented
