I recently received an email from Shopify stating that my store has been permanently closed due to a violation of their Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). However, they did not provide any specific details or warnings before shutting it down.
The biggest issue is that they have not released my pending payouts, and I have no way to access my funds.
I have already submitted the appeal form they provided, but I have not received any response. The email also says that their support address is not monitored, so I don’t know how to get in touch with them directly.
I need help with the following:
- Has anyone successfully appealed a store closure before?
- How long does Shopify take to respond to appeals?
- What steps can I take to recover my withheld payouts?
- Is there any way to escalate this issue with Shopify or a legal route to retrieve my funds?
I would appreciate any advice or guidance from those who have dealt with a similar situation.
