Feature request: Restore Planner view in Shopify Messaging I’d like Shopify to restore the Planner view in Shopify Messaging. A calendar-style planning view is much more efficient than a list-only workflow for email marketing. The Planner view made it easier to manage campaign timing, see what was already scheduled, and plan future sends without opening each campaign individually. Why this matters: Weekly visibility: A calendar view makes it easy to see upcoming campaigns at a glance. Better planning: It helps organize product launches, promotions, newsletters, and seasonal campaigns. Faster workflow: Seeing draft, scheduled, and sent campaigns in one view reduces clicks and back-and-forth. Fewer scheduling mistakes: A visual layout makes overlaps, gaps, or missed dates easier to catch. Better coordination: It’s especially useful when aligning campaigns with launches, blog content, promotions, and holidays. What would help: Bring back a weekly calendar view Show draft, scheduled, and sent campaigns clearly Let merchants create a campaign directly from a date in the calendar Keep the view accessible from the main Messaging overview page This feature improves campaign planning and makes Shopify Messaging more practical for merchants who run regular email marketing.
A note to add to the above, Could you also make it so that the tasks/Newsletters can be dragged and dropped? Thanks!
Thanks, I will try that.
i say let her and others submit the feature request over here. so many Shopify partner hangs out here. And they (including myself) end up building something nobody cares. May be someone will build something useful
That’s a good idea, if it’s framed right. The issue is many people expect Shopify staff to still be in this forum, and I think they should actually have a genuine Feature Request category, as @Moeed specifically requested from the forum managers here
For this specific thing an app integration would work, though unnecessary if an actual request were presented to Shopify. But many are internal things that need to go directly to Shopify.
yes having a public dedicated board for that would be even better. I dont want that to be private shopify support which only shopify staff can see. Imagine how helpful that would be for a builder.
i think this “me too” button was introduced because shopify might have been thinking (have seen) many merchants putting their problems directly into the community.
And i have also seen many people requesting a feature for something for which some workaround is already there - in that case shopify partners might help them too.
