Shopify order is in limbo

Hi all,

Here is a bit of a desperate customer, not an owner of a shop. I’ll explain the problem and will be brief:

  • I ordered something from a Canadian Shopify client named Espace Wazo.
  • Sadly, the callback to the site did not function after payment, I had a blank screen and no order info.
  • However, the payment succeeded, the money was gone from the bank.
  • The bank statement referenced (1) that the payment is made through Shopify (2) that the order number is 74CG0JT and (3) that the shop is Espace Wazo.
  • I tried to contact the shop, however they did not answer. Tried chat, email, Facebook and finally, they answered thanks to an email the Canadian police.
  • But they refuse to help. They keep saying that the order is not known and refer me to Shopify for help.

Since I do not have an order URL, I cannot complain about my order through the form on the website. I have complained about fraud, but no answer. My money is gone, my order is in limbo. Plus, what am I doing here? The Shopify client should take some responsibility, but does not. Can anyone help? Either by pointing me in the right direction or… anything is good!

Sounds like you just need to do a charge-back to your bank.

Ik didn’t use a visa/MasterCard. That would have been easier. The bank will probably only intervene if all options have been depleted. And that’s a huge probably. So I’m trying here first🙂

Already did that weeks ago, no response from Shopify… I’ll try again today.
