i hope this is in the correct category, since it concerns both the partner program and app development.
My question is as follows: can I, while being part of a merchant organization, also create a partner account for myself, even though i plan to only develop apps for our own store? Especially since i need to add an organization, which would be the same as our merchant organization. I am not sure if there are any legal implications behind this or if the partner account could be suddenly terminated by shopify, since it probably won’t generate any revenue.
The reason for all this being, that custom apps are quite limited in their functionality (for example it’s not possible to add features to the checkout) and also embedded apps would be way easier to use by our shop management.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
