I’m currently setting up a Shopify store, but I noticed that Shopify Payments and Stripe are not available in my country (South Korea). I’d like to use Stripe, but it says “unavailable in your country.”
Since I’m based in South Korea but planning to sell products in the U.S., can I just ignore this message and select Stripe anyway? If not, should I look for an alternative payment provider?
Also, does Shopify have any plans to support Shopify Payments in South Korea in the future?
Since Stripe isn’t available in South Korea, you can’t select it as a payment provider. Instead, explore alternative options like PayPal or other third-party gateways supported in your region. As for Shopify Payments, you’d need to check directly with Shopify for updates on availability in South Korea.
Additionally, I want to add a payment method to my RTS TV website, and I also want to integrate a Shopify store where I can sell movies. Is this possible?

One way with Stripe at the moment is to use Atlas https://stripe.com/atlas which setups a business in the US for you then you can use stripe with Shopify from Korea…
Set up your LLC in the US with Stripe Atlas and make your sales in multiple currencies with this solution, with multiple payment methods specific to both the US and South Korea.
