How long does it usually take to verify the documents once uploaded?
I am not sure is this stuck endlessly or need to wait more. The big problem is can’t test the payments flow for the store launch while in waiting mode.
I am not seeing customer service inside the store to sent an inquiry about it…
In most cases:
24–72 hours is normal
Sometimes up to 5 business days if extra review is needed
Very rarely, it can take longer if Shopify Payments needs manual checks (holidays, weekends, volume spikes, mismatched info, etc.)
So if you’re only a few hours in — that’s totally normal.
If you’re past 3–4 days — it’s worth nudging support.
Why don’t you integrate other payment gateways so you don’t have to wait for verification
Hello! I recommend contacting customer support right away. I have clients who had a very long verification process and had to complain several times.
In your control panel, you will see the assistant icon in the top right corner (desktop), right next to the bell icon. Ask to speak to a representative.

i could, but this is better because it has better rates. And if i switch now, not sure if the so far waiting time would be lost

Do you have a Stripe account? If so, try the third party SHOPIFY STRIPE CHECKOUT.
