Shopify scam left malicious code in my cart

Hello, I fell for a scam and I feel so dumb. I received emails that appeared to be from shopify reporting that my website SSL was not working correctly. The person needed access to account and it took me to a shopify link. They then asked for a picture and i realized it was a scam and i notified shopify, I reset my password and they assured me that everything looked ok. Today a customer emailed me that they cannot place an order as the cart is not available. I messaged shopify and they found that code had been written in the “add to cart” area and that they cannot remove it and essentially I have to redo my website unless i can find someone who knows code and can remove it. They suggested I start here. Thank you in advance for any advise or help provided.

Hi @Fluffbros :waving_hand: thats sucks, shopify can only give limited support for their side of things.
And major props for owning it , alot of merchants fall into the trap of doubling down just to get hit again and again.

If your code saavy you can try to do file rollbacks https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/theme-structure/extend/edit-theme-code#roll-back

Or simply reach out to me for theme repair services(click my profile pic on the forums for options, please provide context in all new communications).

Share a link to your store – it may be possible to suggest a fix.

@Fluffbros - is your issue solved?

Hello, they had me go back to an earlier version of the website that did not have the code in it. I switched it over to that and then updated the website and that one’s working fine. I’m going to delete the other version.

Thank you
