It would be nice to have the ability to get more info when a store returns a Shopify error page:
There was a problem loading this website> Try refreshing the page.> > If the site still doesn’t load, please try again in a few minutes.
Doing the usuals like testing out a stock Dawn theme results in the same error, so now we have little idea where to look next. The “recent activity” log doesn’t always help (did a staff member or app do something odd with the data?)
Trying to get escalated support is slow, even for a Plus account. It would be helpful for some self-help insight, like an error log, a server profiler that says where the request is slow or consuming too much memory. The Chrome extension only works if the page actually loads.
Another thing we don’t know is how many other pages result in a Shopify error page that we aren’t aware of. Where is a custom theme breaking only sometimes that needs more investigation?
