I am not sure whether this forum here is the right point for my questions but I’ll give it a try.
I had the following (simple) intention:
Show Instagram Posts on my Shopify Store Page.
I have opened an Instagram account to make some tests - it didnt work since I need an API implementation done with the facebook developer tool somehow?!
Problem: My Store has no facebook account and I had never the intention to open a facebook account for the store. I even believe that a personal account is required in order to open a business account - but thats just an assumption.
My question to you store owners. Is a Facebook page or even store these days still a beneficial platform to run besides Shopify? I would be surprised if the generation 18 to 30yrs would purchase anything on Facebook.
I am now thinking to go through all this trouble, spending hours and days with this facebook topic, just that I can show some instagram posts on my store page.
What are your thougths? I had asked the technical support of my theme supplier (foxkit/ minimog), they advised this thing with the API. Seems there is no other way.
In terms of social media I was focusing on Instagram, Pinterest and maybe twitter or reddit.

It is possible to display Instagram posts on your Shopify store page without having to create a Facebook account or using the Facebook developer tools. There are third-party Shopify apps available that allow you to easily embed Instagram feeds on your store page.
Regarding your question about whether Facebook is still a beneficial platform to run alongside Shopify, it depends on your target audience and the nature of your business. While it’s true that younger generations may not be as active on Facebook as they are on other social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook still has a large user base and can be a valuable tool for reaching a wide range of potential customers. Additionally, Facebook offers powerful advertising tools that can help you target specific demographics and interests.
That being said, it’s important to consider your business goals and target audience when deciding which social media platforms to focus on. If your target audience is more active on Instagram, for example, it may be more beneficial to focus your efforts on building your presence on that platform.
Overall, it’s important to prioritize your time and resources on the platforms that will best help you achieve your business goals, rather than feeling like you need to be active on every social media platform.
