Shopify is withholding my payout due to my “details” not being verified. I’m told all the Account Verification department has to do is to lift the restriction (as I guess I tried to input my information too many times) but it’s been over a week and still nothing. I’ve contacted them 3 times this week and I get vague answers. I have multiple markets coming up and I don’t want to use them anymore if there is no end in sight of when I’ll get my payout.
I don’t know what to do. This is extremely frustrating. I have a handmade business so not only do I sell but I make everything I sell so I don’t have time to have to constantly follow-up to see where my money is.
I’m having the same issue. Been waiting 3 weeks for an email from this apparent Verification team to have my bank account verified. FOR THE SECOND TIME. Several times over the past 3 weeks I’ve contacted support. They all say the same thing. Please wait. They will fix. I cannot give you an estimated time for a fix. There’s nothing you can do but wait. Sounds very suspicious to me. If this keeps up, I don’t think I’ll give Shopify anymore monthly payments and go elsewhere.
Same. I have been in business with Shopify for 10 years and nothing has change my end and NOW, with no notice, no information they are holding $25K hostage. Last month it was $43K and after HOURS on chat with support, suddenly the next day it was released. This is outrageous and a violation of Shopify’s own terms (payments are made each business day). Ironically, while they are holding my money hostage, I am being hit up CONSTANTLY by Shopify Capital to loan me money because my business is so good. Class action, anyone?
I’m sorry to hear that. After I received my money, I contacted them to ask
what could be done to prevent this from happening again, and basically the
answer was “nothing.” So because I was so new to business and this website
platform, I was able to change my website to another company with minimal
interruptions.
I hope you find a way to resolve this issue quickly. It is a significant
hindrance to conducting business.
