Hey everyone. I’ve seen this posted before but no one seems to have figured it out yet. I’m trying to get the URL part to just be set as “The Trade Inn” however nothing seems to work.
All the basic things are already set up in preferences so that’s sorted
You actually want to change the site name in the search results from store URL to your brand name “The Trade Inn”. I have found out one article from Google Search Central which can explain the way how to change it in detail. Please take a look I attach here below:
You seem to have proper <title>
and organization schema markup on your pages.
Probably you did not have it earlier, when these pages were indexed, then you need to wait for reindex.
Or ask Google to reindex in search console.
You can’t directly change the URL text Google shows in search results, as it usually displays your registered domain, but you can influence the site name it shows above it.
To do this, add structured data (WebSite schema) with “The Trade Inn” as the name in your homepage’s , make sure your homepage starts with “The Trade Inn,” and keep your branding consistent across the site and Google Search Console.
Changes may take a few weeks to appear, as Google makes the final decision on display.
