Sold an out of stock product and need help

I recently started my store, and am fulfilling my product from Ali through AutoDS. Yesterday, I saw the stock was listed as 0 on my page, and increased it simply thinking it was a glitch. I sold one, got happy, then realized I can’t fulfill it because the AliExpress product is no longer available. There are multiple other pages on Ali selling the same exact product, but I can’t figure out how to switch my sourcing to it so I can get this product to the customer.

You cannot manually switch AliExpress suppliers inside AutoDS for a product once it’s imported from a specific listing. When the original supplier’s stock hits zero or the product is removed, AutoDS can’t fulfill orders from that source.

To resolve this:

  1. Search AliExpress manually for the same product from another supplier.

  2. Import that new product as a separate listing into your Shopify store.

  3. Remove or deactivate the old out-of-stock listing to avoid confusion.

  4. Inform your customer about the delay or offer alternatives if needed.

AutoDS does not currently support automatic supplier switching for the same product. This is a limitation of dropshipping platforms linked to AliExpress.
