We have noticed an issue with our store where some products that have not yet received any reviews are showing a star rating. The star ratings are appearing on collection pages, and product pages. We are using Shopify’s Product Reviews app. I have extensively reviewed our theme code (Pixel Union Empire 8.0), and can’t find any discrepancies that would cause this. Here is an example product: https://jibsactionsports.ca/collections/scooter-decks/products/madd-gear-juzzy-carter-v2-street-signature-deck
Has anyone experienced a similar issue and/or know of any solutions?

Quick update about this issue - it would appear that the affected products were created by duplicating a previous product. It would seem that all the meta information stored under the spr.reviews metafield is being duplicated to the new product. Is this considered normal behaviour? Seems like a bit of an oversight to have meta information copied from old products to newly duplicated products.
Another update here. I seemed to resolve the symptom by writing a new review for any of the affected products. This removed the erroneous star ratings.
@Shopify_77 Maybe it would be good to address the root of the problem because I don’t think that copying review metadata when duplicating products is ideal behaviour.
It’s September 2024 and this is still a problem.
We ended up switching over to Judge.me’s free plan, and haven’t had any issues. IIRC, the native Shopify Reviews app is now deprecated.
