Store Design

Hello everyone .

Dawn 15.4

I created a tab on my homepage called “ Collection “ which is connected to the collection of shopify admin, however I do not want to show one item inside “gift set” as it has its own separate tab on homepage.

is there a way to do it and especially a way to load just the giftset products (which I already have on the products page of shopify admin)in the tab created and called giftset ?

Basically I would need a tab called giftset behaving exactly as collection.

Thanks in advance

Hi @andrea737

You need to link the Gift Set product in this menu, right?

Thanks for sharing your store url. If your mission it to link the Gift Set menu with the collections same as the Collection menu. Then you need to follow these steps.

Go to Shopify Admin >> Content >> Menus >> Open the Main menu or the Menu that you select for the header.

Open that menu and then open the Gift Set. Currently you will see that it’s link with a product. But you have to change it’s link from a product link to this link :backhand_index_pointing_right:: Collections – Kumy Kids

Here is the visual explanation shared below.

Let me know if you still have any Question.

exactly and behave as the collection button (basically I need to be able to upload the gift set products)

And of course remove the gift set from the collection tab (as now it is the only way to show them as they are connected to the collection tab in shopify admin

I hope this is clear enough

I am at work now. so I can send it tonight.
does it come with a fee?

Hi,thanks for the reply. The code is 2699. Will be able to give you access in few hours .
Thanks,
Andrea

To exclude an item from appearing in a specific collection, you can select manual collections. However, you will need to maintain the products yourself. I assume you are using smart collections.

Otherwise, it is possible to use code to filter out a product within a collection. However, this makes little sense unless you are planning a larger catalog.

Incidentally, the requests in this thread to be connected directly to your shop are obsolete. We can also help you here without accessing the shop. It only becomes important when we move into coding.

@andrea737 if you are progressing with the task, then please delete post with Collab code

Hi @andrea737

You can make a custom “Giftset” collection in shopify and just include the products you want. On your homepage, add a “new tab” that links directly to that collection, rather than the main collection. So the “Giftset” tab only loads the products assigned to it, and the main collection tab excludes the giftsets.

I already did this, however if I load the gift set collection, I need a container where to store them and it is COLLECTION on the shopify admin.Without that I cannot link the set to any page and if I do as you mentioned, I will have giftset twice, in collection and the page created

@andrea737 if you create GIftset collection, then you will need to add products to this collection, how many products do you have for this collection?

I have 2 request. decoder and devcoding. who are u ?
