Subscription Apps for Deliveries Multiple Times a Week

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner needs a subscription app for organic meal deliveries Monday-Friday with flexible weekly options (2-5 deliveries per week), all billed once weekly.

Core Problem:
Tested apps (Seal, Appstle, Native) can’t align billing cycles with delivery schedules. They require mismatched billing intervals—for example, twice-weekly deliveries must be billed every 6 days instead of every 7 days. This creates scenarios where deliveries occur before payment is received.

Technical Challenge:
Apps configure subscriptions using “days” rather than specific weekdays, making it impossible to accommodate Monday-Friday delivery windows while maintaining weekly billing.

Suggested Solutions:

  • Create separate product bundles for each delivery frequency (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x weekly)
  • Try SAPP Subscriptions App for flexible custom intervals
  • One commenter recommends Appstle (already tested by original poster)
  • A developer offers a custom meals delivery plugin currently in development

Status: The discussion remains unresolved with no confirmed solution for the specific billing/delivery alignment requirement. The original post is over a year old.

Shopify subscription app

Hi all, I’m pretty desperate for help on this. My store provides daily deliveries of organic meals Mon-Fri.

We want to provide subscription options of:

Twice a week delivery
3 times a week delivery
4 times a week delivery
5 times a week delivery

With any of them to be billed once a week.

However, I’ve tried Seal, Appstle, and Native and they say they can’t set up the billing for each delivery interval to be every 7 days but instead I’d have to have billing per the following to work:

Twice a week delivery (billed every 6 days)
3 times a week delivery (billed every 6 days)
4 times a week delivery (billed every 8 days)
5 times a week delivery (billed every 5 days)

Which just doesn’t make sense/will not work given that we don’t deliver weekends.

Does anyone else have a setup for some of these delivery intervals without this complicated billing schedule (ideally once a week prepay billing)? It seems that most companies are just doing once a month and these apps are just not set up for multiple deliveries per week.

Also the setup is just complicated to even achieve multiple deliveries per week in these apps. It has to be set up as “days”.

So for example:

Twice a week delivery
Fulfillment settings: Every 3 days
Billed: Every 6 days

3 times a week delivery
Fulfillment settings: Every 2 days
Billed: Every 6 days

4 times a week delivery
Fulfillment settings: Every 1 day
Billed: Every 8 days

5 times a week delivery
Fulfillment settings: Every 1 day
Billed: Every 8 days

It doesn’t even make sense given that our delivery days are Monday-Friday so some of these scenarios we would be delivering product without being paid yet.

If you have followed this far, thank you. Any advice is appreciated. We also can’t afford super expensive apps that take too much per transaction so any advice is appreciated.

Hello @Chelsea16 : I suggest you create bundles of products or separate product for each delivery type with subscription cost of each defined.

So its like you have following products :

Twice a week Meal Bundle

Three times a week Meal bundle

I know this might not look very user friendly but you can think on this line

Hey @Chelsea16 , I know just the app for you. Check out the SAPP Subscriptions App, it offers flexible subscription options with custom intervals and discounts.

Hope this helps!
