Peter here, from Shopify support. I understand you have a question about subscriptions and the ability to cancel your subscription.
To put it briefly, you can cancel your account any time you want, and you will not be charged anymore from that point on. You pay your subscription in advance, at the start of each 30-day, 1 year, or 2 year period. As a result you’re not locked into any payments after that. You can cancel whenever you want, or just not pay and your account will become frozen. This is effectively the same as deactivation, and will give you two years time to restart your payments and pick up where you left off.
