Hi I have a online beauty and skin care store and use Google Shopping to advertise.
We have had around a 75% decrease in sales this week for seemingly no reason - I have not changed anything and our google ads are still running and still getting the same amount of traffic from them??
I have tried searching for what could of caused this but I am at a loss - are people just not buying this week due to it being before payday and this month having 2 bank holiday weekends?
Getting worried as our ads bill still needs paying each day!
Hi we only run shopping ads. Google keep telling us to higher our daily spend but with sales dropping this week but ad spend still up we are reluctant to do this.
We have changed nothing else with Google Ads so we are just wondering if its the fact its just before pay day?
While the exact cause remains unknown, I can provide you with some valuable recommendations based on our extensive experience in developing systems over the years. These suggestions should prove beneficial in addressing the issue.

I recommend you first check if anything changed, while you do say nothing changed, I still recommend double checking if anything changed in the data feed, and Google Ads. A single small change, can have big impacts.
Start with checking the feed.
Also check things such as google ads conversion and remarketing tracking still works.
Hi thanks for your help… I have changed nothing at all so I am still at a loss - I have however found some one who is going to check for me who knows google ads… I honestly still have no idea why this has happened - I realise now that I can not depend on one form of ppc campaign.
We too have seen this drop in sales… it was sudden but I’m wondering if it’s related to the google issue where they were misdirecting traffic on images to the wrong urls. I received an email from them because we advertise with them.
The misdirecting of traffic, was only the reporting side, not where you actually paid for listing products from other merchants. (as far as I read the official news)
This is happening to us right now. Same thing same ads running amd same products and store only now we get 3 sales per day instead of 30. It’s so strange. We runn FB ads for ours and they have all died off in the last 2 weeks for all products. The ads still seem to be performing fine I can see if one ad or product drops of here and there but for the whole store to drop at one time make me thing something changed on the FB or Shopfy side. I know we are doing the same things we’ve been doing for 6 months. Frustrating!
