I just received an email that looks legit but feels very scammy (the contact email is NOT a shopify email). Everything else looks real enough that someone might login by accident.
The title is:
Request for store access from Chris Cline
And it’s from Shopify with a verified checkmark (not a thing in email as far as i know?)
It’s offering detailed help with my shopify website, etc.
I’ve reported it but I’ll attach a screengrab if anyone has any opinions about this!
Be careful out there!
never accept this type of request one of my clients almost lost his store due to this phishing activity.

You should only accept the request if you have talked with Chris before and allow him to have access for bug fixing, and developing purposes. If you don’t know who sent the request, then never accept it.
Don’t worry, I wouldn’t click on it - I was just wondering if it was a common one - I had never seen it before…
I think it is a new kind of scam. We also run Shopify stores but never receive that kind of request.
I think it’s new too! I’d never seen one like that before and it really looked so real
