Looking for app recommendations. One app would be better, but two that play nice would work.
I have one product that can be a one-time purchase or subscription. I want subscribers to receive an automatic discount. And I want there to be automatic tiered volume discounts for both one-time purchases and subscribers.
Shopify limits automatic discounts for subscriptions. And my current subscription app only offers codes and doesn’t integrate well with other apps.
If you can point to a solution that has worked for you, it would be much appreciated.
@rmoon If your subscription app is using Shopify’s checkout (using SellingPlan API), which is most likely the case, you can use our app to automated tiered discounts that work for both subscriptions and/or one-time purchases. I’ve been playing around with it. I had issues with the Buy Now option, which I removed.
Is there a way to display the discounts in the cart? They only show up at checkout.
I’m also having an issue with cart modifications. If I add products to the cart, delete them, then add products again at a lower tier level, I get an error message of not applying the higher tier discount instead of automatically applying the lower tier discount. Suggestions?
Lastly, these work great on one-time purchases, but the discount codes haven’t been automatically applied to subscriptions. I’m running the discounts on Shopify. Do I need to run them through recharge to get them to work correctly?
Regarding your concern, you could check out Seal Subscriptions app, I see this app allows users to create discounts for both one-time purchase and subscription. Besides that, Seal Subscription has now worked perfectly with PageFly since the integration and users could easily use the app in PageFly via drag-and-drop system.
I added a popup through Automated Discounts app to show the discounts in the cart.
I’m using Recharge to automatically apply the Subscription discount. I added the tier discounts within Shopify Discounts as Discount Codes. Then used the Automated Discounts app to get those codes to trigger automatically. This is a workaround to get multiple discounts (subscription & volume in my case) to run automatically.
