Traffic but no sales

Hello,

I have an online business that attracts hundreds of visits a day, but no visitors have bought anything yet. I’ve had Facebook ads for quite some time. And until recently I was only targeting the US market.

I’m a bit lost. I don’t know what’s wrong.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @Petzienmilo ,

I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert. Here are some suggestions to improve your conversion rate:

I don’t see your ads so I can’t make detailed recommendations on your landing page. But here are some recommendations from “Databox”. You can check more in this article.

“When CTR is high but the conversion rate is low that indicates a problem with the landing page, which is most commonly due to a lack of effective calls-to-action (CTA) on the page. The solution is to create a clear CTA like a “Buy Now” or “Read More” button. The CTA can be a clickable image overlaid with a small amount of text or a simple button.”

Additionally, a high cart abandonment rate can be discouraging, especially after investing time and resources into driving traffic to your store. This suggests that many potential buyers are leaving without completing their purchases, leading to lower conversion rates.

To tackle this issue, consider re-engaging these shoppers by:

  • Sending Email Reminders: Notify customers about their abandoned items to encourage them to return.
  • Offering Incentives: Provide discounts or free shipping to motivate them to complete their purchase.

For more in-depth strategies, check out the Shopify Help Center.

I hope my suggestions are helpful. If you find it good comment, it would be appreciated if you could “Like” or “Mark as Solution”.

Thank you and Good luck!

Hi @Petzienmilo ,

Your store looks stunning!

However, I noticed that you may not have enough social proof to encourage potential customers to make a purchase. If you have a store on Etsy or Amazon, consider importing reviews to build trust and credibility.

To better understand why visitors aren’t converting, try these strategies:

  1. Use tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar to monitor visitor behavior:
  • Check traffic sources to see where users are coming from.
  • Identify drop-off points where visitors leave without purchasing.
  1. Gather direct feedback from customers or conduct user testing to pinpoint areas of confusion or friction on your site.

Hope this helps!
