Trouble assigning product categories to menu pages

So I am using the studio theme and I have menu pages such as “necklaces” “earrings” etc. If you click on my necklace menu page, it brings you to the main welcome page. If you click the earrings menu page, it reaches a contact me type of page. Must you first assign products to categories, and then assign the page to link that product category? Thank you.

Hello,

If your collection has no any products added then it will show blank category page while redirecting. I guess you might have not linked things on menu properly .. Can you please double check all the links you’ve added and test again.

Yes, in order for your menu pages to link to the correct product categories, you need to first assign your products to their respective categories, and then assign the menu pages to link to those categories.

To assign products to categories in Shopify, you can follow these steps.

  1. Go to your Shopify admin panel and click on “Products”.
  2. Select the product that you want to assign to a category.
  3. Scroll down to the “Organization” section and click on “Add” next to “Product type”.
  4. Enter the name of the category that you want to assign the product to, or select an existing category from the dropdown menu.

Once you have assigned your products to their respective categories, you can then link your menu pages to those categories by following these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin panel and click on “Online Store” > “Navigation”.
