Hello, i saw so many people had this problem with Apple pay, stripe and shopify. Why i cant’t tick Apple pay button to enable it in Settings/Payments/Manage when I click on Apple Pay button it wont let me save it. Its like a bug where I click save and it wont do it. I contacted Stripe and they told me to contact you to resolve this issue. Does anyone knows whats the problem here?
Topic summary
A user is unable to enable Apple Pay with Stripe on their Shopify store. Clicking the save button in Settings > Payments > Manage doesn’t work, and Stripe directed them to Shopify for resolution.
Likely cause identified:
The domain hasn’t been properly verified with Apple. In Stripe’s Dashboard under Payment > Apple Pay, a message indicates that “Apple Pay requires registration and verification of trusted domains to enable web use.”
Recommended troubleshooting steps:
- Check Settings > Payments > Manage in Shopify for domain verification status
- Manually verify the domain in Stripe’s Dashboard (Payment > Apple Pay section)
- Try different browsers, clear cache, or disable browser extensions
- Verify the store currency is Apple Pay-compatible by checking Settings > Store Details > Store Currency in Shopify Admin, then cross-reference with Apple’s or Stripe’s list of supported currencies
Current status: The discussion remains open with the user seeking clarification on currency verification and awaiting resolution of the domain registration issue.
Hi @lexa96
I’m sorry that you’re going this. I think the most common reason that you can’t turn on Apple Pay with Stripe in Shopify is your domain hasn’t been verified with Apple. Trying going to Settings => Payments => Manage and check to see if there is anything there about domain verification. If it’s an issue, you may have to manually verify your domain in Stripe’s Dashboard under Payment => Apple Pay.
If your domain is already verified and you are still unable to enable it, try testing with a different browser, clearing your cache, or disabling any browser extensions that may be interfering with the process. Also, check whether your Shopify store’s currency is Apple Pay-enabled.
When i get to Stripe’s Dashboard Payment>Apple Pay its enabled but I see this message: “Apple Pay requires registration and verification of trusted domains to enable web use. To enable Apple Pay for your iOS app, you must configure your iOS certificates.” Now is that the problem?
Its your email, if u can help me say here so everyone can get it to work, thanks!
“Also, check whether your Shopify store’s currency is Apple Pay-enabled.” - I dont understand what you mean, how to check that?
That message suggests the issue is with domain registration When i get to Stripe’s Dashboard Payment>Apple Pay its enabled but I see this message: “Apple Pay requires registration and verification of trusted domains to enable web use. To enable Apple Pay for your iOS app, you must configure your iOS certificates.” Now is that the problem?
Apple Pay only works with certain currencies, so if ur Shopify store’s currency isn’t supported, Apply Pay wont be avaiable.
Go to Shopìy Admin > Setting > Store Details, scroll down to Store Currency and note which currency is set and then compare it with Apple Pay’s supported currencies listed on Apple’s official website or Stripe’s Apple Pay page
