Urgent help needed please! "This store can’t accept payments right now"

Everything in our store is set up (Shopify payments, bank details etc.), the store is NOT in test mode or development mode (we have been paying Shopify subscriptions regularly and I unclicked the box to put in test mode).

However I am STILL getting this message at checkout:
“This store can’t accept real orders or real payments”
“This store can’t accept payments right now”

Please, does anyone have any idea what else this could be?
