Used my phone number and now my phone is blowing up with calls

As in, 6 an hour. I do not think I signed up for anything else and I noticed this after I used my phone number.

Edit: also, a ton of emails regarding marketing/branding, and some random text messages. How do I stop this??

Can you clarify where you’ve used or inputted your phone number? Is it on your store’s website, or elsewhere?

It would be great if you can give us more context about this so that we can take a closer look at your situation in regards to the phone calls and text messages.

For the email marketing that you’ve been receiving, if they were sent through from Shopify you should see an Unsubscribe button at the very bottom of the email, which you can click on to remove yourself from our mailing list.

If you’re having trouble finding the Unsubscribe button on your end, feel free to get in touch with our Live Support team so that we can help you with this. To get in touch with our team, you’ll need to login to your store via our help centre here. Once logged in, select a topic that best fits your query or situation. From there, you’ll be taken to a page with a list of relevant support articles, and you can scroll to the bottom of that page to select your preferred contact method with our team.

This is happening to us as well. It’s clearly a case of either data breach or Shopify selling our information, and furthermore cause for legal remedy. This is exacerbated by the fact that Shopify supplies no customer support at all.
