I have spent a lot of time setting up my store. I cannot wrap my head around why Shopify does not allow for multiple email addresses if you did not purchase your domain through them. This is ludicrous. Very unprofessional. If I had known this before I started, this would have been a deal-breaker. At the very least— I need
I want an administrative email address(from Shopify notifications etc, to my store) Customers should not have access to this email.
I want a contact/support email for issues regarding said. Customers will have access.
I want another that will send newsletter information.
Reward program email
If I must, I would lump together the newsletter and reward emails.
How am I supposed to run a business and delegate responsibility to my staff??? This is very unprofessional. And very basic. (From the customer experience end and daunting from my end) I don’t want my staff in all of my email accounts.
I don’t want to hear that some themes allow for this, or how to set up email aliases. Or how some marketing programs will allow for that. This is basic. What’s going on???
I understand that this feature will greatly help your business. I highly suggest that you directly reach out to Shopify support team for this feedback so, they can forward this feature to their developer team and consider adding this feature in the future.
Hi there, @TantiBaci . Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community Forums regarding your email feedback. My name is Imogen. It’s good to meet you!
I’m happy to go ahead and pass along the feedback you’ve shared with us here regarding multiple email addresses. Though I can’t promise what the outcome may be from passing along the feedback you’ve shared here, you can rest assured that our developers have been made aware of your feedback and post. Thanks!
I agree, there is a basic level of corporate/company setup that is being seen as pay for play. At minimum identify this - Feature - for users that are contemplating domain purchases. Explicitly list out pros AND cons so that users can make informed decisions.
