When customers try to check out of my store the item defaults to first size/color variant rather than the one they have chosen. For example t-shirt colors are white, red, blue sizes S,M. L even if the customer picks blue/large it will default to white/small in the checkout. Anyone know how to fix this?

Something is wrong with the “Variant Option Product Options” app configuration/setup?
The app prevents theme Javascript code from loading and this is the code which is responsible for variant selection.
Your product page section initially had code like this:
Now it is changed to:
The code prevents loading required theme JS code based on some conditions from the app.
Try talking to the app support…
I no longer have/use that app.
It also has worked since uninstalling it-I reached out to their support, but any other ideas?
There seems some error might have encountered. We can check the code and
fix it in possible way.
Would you be willing to walk me through that? I am a little uninformed on the back end of the website
