Hi - Right now we have to wait till we have positive revenue before issuing refunds otherwise we go negative for the day and then shopify pulls the funds from our bank (which is a deposit only account) - we have a payout once a month that is more than all the refunds we issue over that month, is there anyway to pull the refund money from the money shopify is holding for our monthly payout vs. taking it from our bank? we’d still be positive revenue on the payout day so we’d much prefer this method if it is at all possible. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing those details on what you are trying to have setup for your payouts and refund charges.
What payment gateway(s) are you using on your store? If you are using Shopify Payments then no, you will not be able to delay the fund withdrawal itself. It might be worthwhile to see if you are eligible for Shopify Balance though, which keeps a pool of funds available directly from within your admin instead of depositing into your bank account. This would allow the refund amounts to be taken from the balance account instead of attempting to be deducted from the bank account.
If you are using a third party payment gateway, you will need to contact the gateway provider directly to learn if there are any additional options for that refund process.
Please also note, that if you are using Shopify Payments that you generally do need to have a bank account that accepts ACH transfers and deductions. This may not be the case though if you are in the UK.
