I received an email today that had the same format as an email from the Shopify platform. The email claimed that my “subscription has ended” and that my “store will be paused.” The format looks extremely similar to an actual email from Shopify but it came from an Outlook account. Just wanted to put a warning out there as I didn’t see anything about this when doing a Google search

Please forward any phishing messages that you receive to Shopify’s safety inbox at safety@shopify.com.

The term phishing describes identity theft scams involving phony websites and emails or other messages. The goal of a phishing attack is to gain access to your account and sensitive information. An attacker can create their own website that mimics a reputable one or send you a message that seems to come from a trusted source. Phishing messages can come from a fake account or an account that has been hacked.
Hi there @cams_lil_sis !
Thanks for letting us know about this here in the Shopify Community.
You can forward the email in question to safety@shopify.com so our Security team can take a look at this.
As always, don’t click on any links in emails you find suspicious and don’t share account info like your email and password there.
Let us know if you did interact with any part of the email at all!
We also strongly recommend that merchants use two-factor authentication for their Shopify accounts wherever possible, as it does provide increased login security.
Thanks again for taking the time to let us all know about this!
