Hi everybody I’ve been getting emails supposedly from Shopify claiming to be shutting the website down. How do i report these to Shopify?
Hello there @Gedcarney Apologies for the inconveniences you’re experiencing with this. For starters, make sure to continue to ignore these emails and not click any links from there out of curiosity as they could be dangerous.
For the reports, you can get in touch with Shopify support directly with all the necessary details so they can take note of it and take action where possible. Also NOTE- any emails claiming to be from Shopify with a gmail account is fake and most likely a scam.

These emails are likely phishing attempts. Do not click any links or provide any sensitive information. Forward the emails to safety@shopify.com so Shopify’s security team can investigate. You can also check if the emails are legitimate by logging into your Shopify admin directly (not through email links) and looking for any alerts. If you’re unsure, contact Shopify Support through their official website. Stay cautious and consider enabling two-factor authentication for extra security!
