We’re currently using BOGOs which is very good, except for a fatal flaw.

When customers don’t select their products from the pop up, we will in theory (unless we manually check every order) send out orders without the free gifts - which then means customers complain and we have to send out a second shipment with the free gifts. Also, when customers use express payment methods, the gifts get left out, which means we’ve had to compromise by turning off express payments in the product pages.

We’re trying to automate as much as possible but this flaw means we’re currently having to check every order manually and adjust stock levels accordingly, which just will not be possible as we grow.

Can anyone recommend a rock solid reliable gifting app? Brownie points for also working with express payments.

Every case is different, the best is the one you build custom for your specific use cases.

“the best” is a beginners trap not everyone is you and a lack of critical detail creates the wrong question.

And wrong questions get wrong answers.

You may not even need a gift app but a bundling app, or a discount app, etc etc etc

If by “express payments” you do mean accelerated checkouts an app using the newer shopify-functions is probably required.

Hi @pbg ! I know it’s been about half a year since you posted this question, but your feedback really stuck with us ?Today, I’m back to help clarify what you can do now with the BOGOS app:

  • Popup issue: Now, you can embed the gift slider directly on the cart page/product page,… (any pages on your stores) (instead of displaying as a popup), so customers won’t miss their gift anymore. If you’re using a cart drawer, we’re happy to help you customize it!

  • Fast checkout issue: Unfortunately, by following Shopify’s rules, all gift apps track cart conditions. Fast checkout methods bypass the cart, so the gift logic doesn’t trigger. So no app can fully support this flow (we wish it were different too :sob: )
