I’m not sure these apps would work for me. They seem to be selling their own warranty plan. The warranty I’m offering is direct from the manufacturer. I have the advanced product options app, we may be able to use that for the upsell.

Back in 2024 my store went through a Shopify Payments review because we sell durable medical equipment. At the time, we were asked to provide documentation for our medical products (including FDA information), which we did. During that review we were also told that “extended warranty products are not supportable on Shopify Payments,” so we removed them.
Now I’m trying to confirm whether that restriction still applies in 2025, especially since I’m seeing other merchants using Shopify and CPS extended warranties without any issue.
Is the restriction on selling extended warranties only related to certain industries (like medical equipment), or is it a general Shopify Payments rule? And is there an updated policy or official source that outlines this?
Any clarification or recent experience would be appreciated.
