What must I change about my products to fix 'Missing Tax Information' on Google Merchants

It will not let me post Google Ads through Google Merchant until I fix the ‘Missing Tax Information’ issue applied with all of my products. However we are far from reaching the VAT thresh hold, so I don’t understand what I should have to do. What can I do in shopify (or Google Merchant) that will solve the issue.

My store URL is cheffings.net

You are located in the UK, if Google merchant center asked for tax settings, that means either you setup the account in the US, or with a US IP, or you added a US business address, this triggers the tax requirement.

First check that your business details are correct here: https://merchants.google.com/mc/merchantprofile/businessinfo

I have the same issue and I checked my business address is in the UK. Not sure about what ‘setting up the account in the US’ or ‘US IP’ means but as far as I know it’s all set up as a UK business from a Google and Shopify perspective. Any further clarifications or things I could try to fix this issue?

Try adding a zero percent tax rate here: https://merchants.google.com/mc/tax

Thanks for the repose Emmanuel. I thought this would do the trick but unfortunately it still shows the missing tax information warning  . Any further insights much appreciated.

Where do you see it?

And it sounds to me you are targeting the US, as that is the only case it would be able to say this.

It looks like the above fixed it. Just took a few hours to register. Thanks for your help!
