Where can I find my Merchant ID for state tax registration?

Hello, I am trying to submit a state tax registration. However, it is asking me for a Merchant ID and cannot find it in my Shopify profile anywhere. How do I go about getting this information?

June here from Shopify. I’m happy to point you in the right direction.

While we don’t have a unique Merchant ID for your account, we are able to provide you with your Shop ID, which may be exactly what you’re looking for!

To do so, can you please log in to your account via our Help Center to choose from our available contact options. While we’re currently not able to authenticate your account via our Community forums, our support team will be able to do so via live chat, callback, or email. Bear in mind that only Account Owners can request this information. I hope this helps!

Hi @dccwebteam ! Is the Olveston shop the name of a store of yours?

If so, you’re welcome to follow the same steps above to request your Merchant ID: visit our Help Center, log in to your store, enter a topic into the search field, then choose Get support.

Can you walk me through the steps you’re taking beyond this page?

And may I ask where you’re needing to enter this Merchant Processor Account information? Although we don’t have a unique Merchant ID for each Shopify Payments account, we can provide the Shop ID for your account once you get in touch with our support team.
