I use PayPal Express for my menswear online store and PP advertises 2.9% commission +.30 a transaction.
Recently,I decided to check their fees and the majority of my PP fees are 3.9% and some are 5.5%. I didn’t know there were different plans for PP. Can anybody tell me based on their experience with PayPal if they have experienced the same?

I recommend reaching out to PayPal if you have concerns over the fees you are being charged by them, as they would be able to look into this further for you. I suggest looking into Shopify Payments if you want a payment gateway with no transaction fees; anyone using Shopify can use Shopify payments if they meet all the requirements. Shopify Payments is a great option because it supports all major payment methods, allowing your customers to have more options.
