Why am I getting a 403 Forbidden error on my domain?

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to help me!

I connected my Domain to my Shopify, and it was fine with solosouljewelry.com, but I am got a 403 Forbidden error with domain www.solosouljewelry.com

What should I do?

Thank you so much!!

Hello @ThemeGoal !

Thank you for including the screenshots and the URL, I was able to take a look and I am also having issues with it.

I checked your domain records on WHOIS Lookup and this is what I found:

As you can see from my screenshot, the A record on your domain is not correct, and it should be 23.227.38.65 as detailed in our help doc on How to Connect Third Party Domains.
To change this, please login to your domain host and edit the A record in the DNS settings - make sure to ask your host for support if you’re unable to find it on your end.

Do also note that after you make these changes, it can take about 24-48 hours for the settings to propagate, which means the issue may not be resolved immediately after. If you find that you’re waiting a long time for it to work, be sure to also double check the domain with your host in case there is an issue on their end.

Just in case, I also checked the domain that you mentioned was working, so I can confirm for you that it looks good on my end also. While I was there, I took the opportunity to look around your store and I just wanted to commend the great work you have done! Loving the featured collection in particular, the pieces are very beautiful!
As some feedback, I would like to suggest you add a Contact Us page since I noticed that you don’t have one yet. The contact page is a great way to build trust with new and potential customers as they will be able to see straight away that if they order from you and encounter a problem, they can get in touch easily to rectify the issue. I have a guide from our help centre on How to Set up a Contact Page here.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me here!

Thanks. -Lana

Hi, Lana

Thanks for your suggestion, we will add Contact Us page as soon as possible.

I did not set the A record of value ‘23.227.38.74’ that point to 'www.solosouljewelry.com ’ in my domain provider’s website.

We only have two records as follows :

plus: 23.227.38.32 is ok, my other store use this ip.

And I try every things i can do ,but i couldn’t found where the dns record(23.227.38.74) come from .

Thank you for that screenshot!

In that case, it is odd that the other domain is having this issue. The next step is definitely to check your domain with your current host because there might be some issue that they can see on their end causing this.
Have a look into it with their support, and if there is anything that they need from our end or any additional steps, feel free to get back to me here.
