Why am I not receiving payouts from my online store sales?

I have done 5 purchases myself through my store. My store shows my orders and processed my payments. It does not show that I have a zero balance in payouts, however, I’ve never received any payout at all. My orders are from May till now. My bank account information is correct. I have set on daily payouts. It just doesn’t show that I have payouts, so I’m not sure where the difference between the cost of the item and what I’m charging is going.

Welcome to our Community forum. Thanks for posting your question here. I definitely understand the importance of receiving your payouts, so let’s get to the bottom of this together.

To gather a little bit more context, did you process your payments for the orders through Shopify Payments? Or rather, through a third-party gateway like PayPal? As well, may I ask you to go into Settings > Payments > View Payouts. Do you see any updates listed under payout status?

I did my payments through Paypal. I did go to settings to view the payout. Nothing shows up. I checked my Paypal account to see if I had money waiting there and there is nothing there either.

Also, I meant it shows that I have $0.00 in payouts and shows no status

Thanks for getting back to me with that context. Super helpful. To clarify, since your payments were made using PayPal you will not get the payout from Shopify. Instead, your funds will be deposited into the PayPal account that is set up within Settings > Payments. You can read more about this on our help document: Getting paid. Please verify which PayPal account has been linked. For example:

Is it possible that you have linked an alternative account or made a typo when entering your PayPal information? As well, I recommend checking your email for a message from PayPal asking you to verify your account. Oftentimes, before you complete the verification step, PayPal will hold your payouts.

Oh my! I completely forgot that I signed up for a business Paypal and that’s where my money is! Thank you so much for the info and for reminding me!
