Hey, I need help please. Over the past few months, random Pinterest Ad charges from Shopify Marketing have been popping up on my Bank Statements. This is alarming to me because i’m not actually running Pinterest Ads, I haven’t ran one in over 2 months, yet yesterday $100 was withdrawn from my Checking account for Pinterest Ads on Shopify. In the past 3 months Shopify has withdrawn at least $500 from my Bank Account for Ads that I never ran. I can’t find Billing information for Ads anywhere on my Shopify Account either. I’m able to see Subscription Billing Info, but not Ad Billing Info. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I would really like Shopify to stop taking money from me, I AM NOT RUNNING ADS SO WHY AM I PAYING HUNDREDS FOR THEM?! Please help!
Definitely, an alarming situation so I can understand why you’re hoping to stop the charges from occurring. When viewing the Pinterest channel from the Shopify admin, you should see the option to view/edit the billing information you added:
If you’re unable to remove the billing information, then I would recommend contacting Pinterest via email as they fully support the channel. You can reach Pinterest by emailing them at shopify-help@pinterest.com. Please remember to include the following:
- Requestor’s name
- Requestor’s email address
- Shop URL (.myshopify.com)
- Description of the problem
- Any applicable screenshots & docs
They should be able to advise you further on how to remove any marketing you’ve created for the products you’ve synced to your Pinterest account.
