Why are my labels from Canon MB5070 printer not sizing correctly?

Topic summary

Labels printed directly from Shopify are scaling too large and only partially fit on paper when using Canon MB5070 and EPSON WF-3640 printers. The issue affects both USPS and UPS labels.

Downloading the label and printing locally produces correct sizing on both printers. A Shopify Shipping test label shows the same oversizing when printed directly.

Screenshots couldn’t be shared due to file-type restrictions. An image was posted showing where to access a print option.

A respondent suggests browser print settings were altered and recommends using “Print using the system dialogue” (the operating system’s print dialog) to check/adjust scaling and fit settings instead of the browser’s default print.

No confirmation yet that this resolves the issue; discussion remains open with the likely cause being browser-level print configuration.

It seems all of a sudden I am unable to print labels correctly, direct from Shopify. If I print direct from Shopify, label is so big it only prints a portion of the entire label on the paper label. This occurrs with both USPS and UPS labels.

I have two printers: 1. Canon MB5070. 2. EPSON WF-3640

Same issue on both printers.

If I download the label from Shopify and print, it prints out just fine, both printers, both USPS and UPS.

Also tried test print through settings/shopifyshipping/print test label, still same issue.

Would have liked to provide screen captures, but this app does not like .pdf or .png files.

Any help would be appreciated…

Hello @davidax ,

It appears that your browser’s print settings have been modified.

You can try the “Print using the system dialogue” option to verify this.
