I am trying to upload a jpeg or Png file to my shopify store (brooklyn Theme) They are clear, large white background with text that I have created via canva or taken a screenshot (trying anything).
They seem to be clear when I have created and then when I upload to shopify into my product galleries or as a banner they always have a slight blur.
I have tried;
-to resize to be bigger.
-make smaller compact images
made the images high quality and larger
-jpegs files
-pngs files
-gif files
-I tried the shopify resizing image page.
-I have tried to take a screenshot and upload.
Is there something in shopify that i need to edit so they wont have this slight blur? i know that shopify compresses the image when it uploads but if someone can tell me exactly what i need to save as to get around the blur or settings that need to be changed in the shop settings.
It’s really killing me. I want to upload my sizing guides, create new banners but they are always blurring and making it look really unprofessional.

I understand the importance of having high quality images on your shop and would like to thank you for attempting those troubleshooting steps. I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction. You mentioned that Shopify compresses images, and that is correct as Image compression is applied to make sure that page load times are within reason. Our compression rates are as follows:
Original images: 90%
URLs with size less than 1024px: 75%
URLs with size greater than or equal to 1024px: 85%
Firstly, the recommended product image size for the Brooklyn theme should be at least 1024 x 1024 px. The best shape for your product images is a square. As per slideshow or banner images, we suggest keeping the photos at 1200 x 800 px. It’s a good idea to keep all of your image slides the same size as each other. Please keep in mind that increasing the size limit will increase page load time so you’ll need to decide what the right balance is.
